China has become the world’s largest container manufacturing country for more than 20 consecutive years, with a global market share of more than 95%. At present, atmospheric corrosion resisting steel for Chinese contain ers is mainly produced by conventional hot rolling and thin slab continuous casting and rolling production lines . The thin slab continuous casting and rolling production line mainly produces thin gauge container plates with a thickness of less than 6.0 mm, and its annual output accounts for over half of the total container plates output. Compared with conventional hot rolling, thin slab continuous casting and rolling products have the characteristics of good performance uniformity and high dimensional accu racy. However, the current atmospheric corrosion resisting steel standards for containers are more focused on general specifications , which fail to highlight the advantages of thin slab continuous casting and rolling production line products and can no lon ger meet the material selection requirements of the containers manufacture rs. To this end, this document is set on the basis of a large amount of industrial production data in accordance with the needs of users and the current production conditions. Three characteristics are set in this document:1. Expands the scope of application of hot -rolled products: highlights the advantages of roll ed thin gauge products in thin slab continuous casting and rolling production lines. The thinnest thickness of rolled pro ducts has been extended to 0.8 mm. 2. Improve s the dimensional accuracy control requirements of the products: highlight s the dimensional accuracy control advantages of the thin slab continuous casting and rolling production line, narrow s the allowable devi ation range of thickness and width of the container steel, and regulates the corresponding size range to follow user’s negative tolerance usage habits. 3. Improve s the quality control requirements of products : highlight s the advantages of uniform performan ce of thin slab continuous casting and rolling production lines, and narrow s the allowable range of chemical composition s and mechanical properties
